London where the world meets
The landmark tower on London’s south bank has won detailed planning permission, following a reduction in height.
The scheme, One Blackfriars Road, for developer Beetham, was given the final go-ahead by Southwark Council earlier this week after a change in height from 52 to 51-storeys.
The tower, which is described as “iconic” will include a 261-room hotel, restaurants, bars, a spa, a public viewing platform and 64 apartments.
The project is now due to go on site late next year and
will be ready for the 2012 Olympic Games.
The new tower will have amazing views across London
and a brand new Luxury Hotel for London 2012.
